The students at Collingwood School and Media Arts College have recorded this amazing video interview with Barbara Slade.

Barbara is an award-winning television writer with numerous credits on much loved children’s shows such as “Angelina Ballerina”, “Winnie the Pooh”, “Eloise” and “Rotten Ralph”.

She has worked for The Disney Channel, created two original series “Dead Gorgeous” and “Hi Opie” and received a Humanitas for one of her episodes of “Rugrats”.

Recorded and filmed in our studio as part of our ongoing Collingwood Sessions music series.

Distractions

Conceived and directed by one of our students, this arresting short film, “Distractions,” provides an insight into the world as he sees it, and the everyday challenges he faces. Every shot was carefully planned to show how a ‘normal’ situation can be a minefield for a neurodiverse person.

Nuerodiverse  BBC presenter Chris Packham saw this film, and was moved to respond with a video of his own:
