Titanic Project

Titanic Project

In History lessons, 7G have conducted in-depth research on the Titanic. They have looked at both primary sources and interpretations to find out more about the disaster. After some fantastic analysis by our 7G historians, it was decided that we would use this knowledge to create a film that showed key events during the Titanic’s fateful voyage. The class incorporated key historical figures into the film such as Captain Edward Smith, Molly Brown and Bruce Ismay. They then decided what scenes would work best and created a storyboard as a guide for filming. Roles were established for our actors, whilst a dedicated team got to work choosing backdrops and ordering props. Our pupils who worked behind the camera were vital to making sure that the film turned out as fantastic as it did.

7G have worked extremely hard on this film, and I am extremely proud of the class. Their fantastic work has been shown not only in school, but also in Newcastle University to a cohort of trainee teachers and was met with applause and overwhelming positivity. 7G should take great pride in what they have created. Well done, 7G!
